Yeah, right...What club? Bukan kelab mlm, bukan clubbing mahupun club2 mahal dan berprestige tapi wajib masuk kelab yg boleh dibanggakan (kebanggaan diri sendiri & keluarga).
Yeah...Aku terpanggil utk join BF Support Group di tmpt keja n sekaligus komuniti kwsn rmh. Walaupun kita semua bercakap pasal BF sbb pengalaman, usaha serta minat tapi bila dah buat semua tu mcm 'rasmi' (i prefer to call it my Ko-K activity), kenalah buat 'betul2'.
Prior selected to be one of the member, we have to sit for 20 hours course. Separuh je dari lactation counselor kena (40 hours) !! Prior to that also, we have to answer 30 multiple choice questions and 2 subjective questions on the pre-test...Which hahhaa, i managed to get 46% only!
Alhamdulillah, i succeed in the course with 80% marks !!! Bravo.....Hehhee. Well, the 3-days course cover 16 chapters! So cramp....Plus, we have to do 3 practical sessions with real patient. Banyak yg kita tidak tahu sebenarnya .....Err, maybe aku je yg tak tahu! Hmm...Dari 16 chapters tu, hanya 1 chapter je kita rasa at finger tips; tidak lain tidak bukan adalah pasal attachment and milk supply/ production.
Maybe as this course for health professionals, so banyak benda kami kena bljr which is so interesting n so informative !! Let me share some (i summarize ok...) :-
1. BF is an option to mothers; so we have to communicate well to influence them and not to judge any of their words/ objection not to BF.
2. Skin-to-skin contact immediately after delivery helps BF get started easier.
3. Milk produced based on 2 hormones and with refer to breast anatomy, it does explains supply vs demand.
4. BF being protected by government thru special ethics and guidelines which prohibits FM company from promoting their product directly (this is really interesting which sometimes we can't think of the hidden agenda).
5. BF for special infant needs is different, but still powerful compared to FM.
6. HIV+ve mothers by Malaysia policy, should not BF their children except they BF exclusively.
7. How moral support and certain birth practices help BF get started.
8. Hand expression using 'C' shape massage.
9. Blocked duct and mastitis management.
10. Our role and how we can assist the community.

nope! not all sesuwei utk users..i mean mothers. sbb all these topics more on health professionals! so as health prof.diaorg laa patutnya tahu mana nak cerita,mana tak cerita bkn takat dok ulang2 psl kebaikan susu ibu je!!
