How your baby's growing
Your uterus (womb) may be big enough now to show a gentle bump. However, your baby is still tiny, about as long as a pea pod.
Despite your baby's small proportions, if you could look inside your uterus, you'd see a fully formed human being. He even has unique fingerprints now.

How your life's changing
Once you've completed 13 weeks of pregnancy, you're into your second trimester. That's great news. Hopefully, you're starting to notice that those early pregnancy symptoms, such as morning sickness, are fading.
You may also notice your sex drive returning too, as nausea and exhaustion recede and your energy levels rise.
Rest assured it's perfectly safe to have sex, as long as your pregnancy is progressing normally. Some women feel sexier than ever during the second trimester. And if you're feeling a little adventurous, find out if it's safe to use sex toys during pregnancy.
As you start to feel like your old self again, it's perfectly normal to worry about whether you still really are pregnant. Those early niggles, however unpleasant, are a daily reminder that you're expecting, and their disappearance can be alarming rather than reassuring.
Rest assured that all is most likely to be well, and that you can now really start to enjoy being pregnant. If you have any concerns as you enter your second trimester, give your doctor a call. She'll be expecting you to ask questions as your pregnancy progresses.
